§ 13.94.010. Generally.

(1)

Purpose. It is the purpose of this chapter to:

a.

Protect, maintain, and enhance the environment of American Fork City ("the city").

b.

Establish responsibilities for controlling and managing storm water runoff.

c.

Protect the public health, safety, and the general welfare of the citizens of the city by controlling discharges of pollutants to the city's storm water system and to maintain and improve the quality of the receiving waters into which the storm water outfalls flow, including, without limitation, lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, wetlands, and groundwater of the city.

d.

Enable the city to comply with state and federal laws and regulations.

Administering entity. The city's public works department shall administer the provisions of this chapter. Nothing in this chapter shall relieve any person from responsibility for damage to other persons or property, nor impose upon American Fork City, its officers, agents or employees, any liability for damage to other persons or property.
