The city council hereby creates a board of adjustment within and for the city. Said
board of adjustment shall constitute the appeal authority authorized and required
pursuant to the provisions of Section 10-9a-701, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended.
The board of adjustment shall consist of five members, each to be appointed for a
term of five years, provided that the terms of the members appointed shall be such
that the term of one member shall expire each year. Any member of the board of adjustment
may be removed for cause by the city council upon written charges and after public
hearing, if such public hearing is requested. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired
term of any member whose term becomes vacant.
