§ 8.12.010. Purpose and applicability.

A.

Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to protect the emergency services of the city from misuse and from unnecessary financial and manpower requirements.

B.

Applicability. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all alarm users, alarm businesses, employees of alarm businesses and alarm systems which are installed, connected, operated, and/or maintained on real property and/or appurtenance thereto within the community, including those installed prior to the date on which this chapter first became effective.
